LAURA SCAWN
DYSLEXIA DIAGNOSIS, PRIVATE TUTORING AND TOUCH TYPING COURSES
TESTIMONIALS
"Laura has been pivotal in the ongoing learning and development of our son. In 2022 she provided an assessment for dyslexia, ensuring careful consideration of our son’s wellbeing throughout. A subsequent diagnosis of Dyslexia followed, accompanied by a comprehensive report on the findings and recommendations on how to support our son going forward. This report has been the catalyst that ensures all necessary measures are put in place to support our son in school.
Laura has continued to support our son since diagnosis with regular tutoring, which has been pivotal to his learning and development. She has a remarkable ability to be innovative and creative in her teaching abilities, tailoring them to our child’s learning style and reluctance to challenges the condition presents him with. She has shown unending patience, empathy and dedication throughout.

Choosing to work with Laura was the best decision we have ever made for the educational advancement of our son, but it is witnessing the continued development of his self-esteem and self-confidence through working with her which has been the biggest triumph for us as parents of a dyslexic child.

We will forever be grateful for the support and care she has shown our family."

Laura is playing a pivotal role in my daughter’s education, filling gaps and building her confidence with each session. The pitch is perfect for her concentration levels and Laura adapts the sessions based on her needs. The feedback Laura provides on each session is really insightful and shows that she has really got to know what my daughter needs and how she works.

First of all I would like to thank Laura personally from myself and my grandson. Each and every time you have always been there on hand and remotely. You are always approachable and helpful whenever I have had a need for direction to navigate and get support from outside services for my grandson. You have always been well informed and given guidance and educated me with the information and tools to support my grandson.

My grandson is dyslexic. He couldn't spell anything before we had your support. I count my blessing every day that we have you in our lives. The support and education you have given him has changed his life and I can't thank you enough.

We have been working with Laura for around 18 months after finding out our daughter is dyslexic. The lessons are well balanced, with regular check ins to make sure learning is secure and good use of games to keep the lessons fun and engaging. We’ve seen huge progress since working with Laura but the thing that I am most pleased with is the massive improvement in self-esteem which had really suffered in the 6 months before diagnosis. She now has the confidence to have a go and try her best and does not beat herself up if she doesn't get it right first time.

Our son has been working with Laura for over a year and she has made a huge difference. I have seen his confidence growing and his interest in reading improving. What I really love is how much Zak enjoys and looks forward to his lessons. The same cannot be said about school and homework, sometimes this can be a real battle ground, but with Laura he runs into the lessons and comes out full of beans. Laura takes the time to connect with him and go at his pace, while also succeeding at pushing him forward all the time. We can see the difference she has made. I also appreciate the way that Laura updates me on what they are doing in classes and gives us ways to support him further at home.
